The Legend Lives On… David Ruffin

Born on this day, January 18 in 1941… He was a voice you grew up with and heard ringing through your living room on a Sunday afternoon … haunting, charming, raspy n smooth all at the same time. He was most commonly known for being the lead singer for the iconic Motown group, The Temptations during what is most commonly known as the “Classic Five” Era with Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Paul Williams and Eddie Kendricks.

Here’s a few of our favorite David Ruffin tracks:

My Girl (The Temptations)

Walk Away From Love

I Can’t Stop The Rain

Ain’t Too Proud To Beg (The Temptations)

Smiling Faces

Can We Make Love One More Time
