Dave Dar is an American/Dominican/Pakistani emcee, engineer and producer from New York City. With his unparalleled work ethic and pure drive, he went from an intern to a staff engineer at Electric Lady Studios. He was branded as the “Go To Guy” for artists such as Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, Les Nubians, Erykah Badu, and The Roots. This eventually led to him to tour with Talib Kweli and DOOM, and being a co-executive producer on the Talib Kweli releases: “A Beautiful Struggle” and “Eardrum”. His acclaimed “Bamboo Bros” album featuring partner Kurious Jorge, has reinvigorated the game with beat-thumping sounds of jazz, hip-hop, funk, and Latin-infused rhythms — even rapping in Spanish, and his verbal agility has been featured alongside some of the best emcees, including Roc Marciano and Kool Keith, on the “LUV NY” album.
